In Loving Memory of Margaret 'Mindy" Parham
Margaret “Mindy” Melinda Parham, a resident of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the age of 71 in Fairhope, Alabama. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Mindy spent her married life in Little Rock, Arkansas. After retiring in 2016, she and her spouse moved to Florida, and embraced a life of adventure, traveling full-time in their motorhome. Mindy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
With a heavy heart, I am announcing the sudden passing of Mindy Parham, a beloved wife, love, and friend. For 30 years, I had the honor of calling her my wife, but she held my heart for 50 wonderful years. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Mindy had an innate ability to bring warmth and joy to everyone she met. Her smile could light up the darkest room, and her kindness knew no bounds. She was a beacon of love, always putting others before herself and offering a listening ear and comforting embrace whenever needed. Whether she was teaching or involved in Arkansas politics, she made indelible and lasting impressions on her students and political advocates alike.
Our journey together was a beautiful journey of shared dreams, adventures, and quiet moments of togetherness. From the simplest of days to the grandest occasions, her presence made everything more special. She was not just my partner but my confidant, my inspiration, and my best friend, my compass and navigator of my life's journey with her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us of the beauty in everyday moments and the strength found in love. Mindy was always one of the first to offer solace and understanding to friends and family during the most trying times, yet never expecting anything back.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught us, and the love she so generously gave. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life—a life filled with love, compassion, and boundless grace.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Miller and Margaret Barber Miller; grandparents, M/M E.E. Barber Sr, M/M Dwight Miller; brother, Rusty Miller; uncles, Elmer Barber Jr (Margaret Ann), Stanley Barber (Cumilla), Larry Barber (Gwen), William McKeever Sr.; cousins, Marci Thompson, Steve Barber and William McKeever II. She is survived by her husband, John Parham; brother, Gary Pendleton (Penny); sister-in-law, Nora Miller; aunt, Barbara Barber Kell (Jim); her favorite cousins, Easy Barber (Debbie), Teri Sharum (Rick), Linda Barber Bray (Mort), Laura Barber Abel, Larry Barber II (Diane), Michelle McKeever Harp (John), Matthew McKeever (Stephanie), and other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace, my dearest Mindy. I will always look to the heavens for guidance from my life's navigator. You will be deeply missed, but your love will forever remain in my heart and the hearts of all you touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mindy at a later date.
With my endless love forever, John "Crazy" Parham
