Margie McMillin Beasley, age 94, of Jonesville, Louisiana, went to her heavenly home on March 13, 2026. Margie spent her last days surrounded by her family, and it was the most beautiful way to leave this world. Margie was born on October 6, 1931, to Tolbert Roy McMillin and Hazel Terry McMillin. Margie lived a life full of love, grace and devotion to her family.

Margie married the love of her life, Shelby Hughes Beasley on August 13, 1950, and moved into their home on Wallace Ridge in 1954 where they would live the rest of their lives and raise their family among a strong support system of close relatives and their many close friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. When she moved to Fairhope, AL the last four years of her life, she treasured the cards, which she reread and prayed over, the phone calls, and the visits from her cherished friends.

Margie loved her family with passion. Her joy was found in being with them, cooking for them, and praying for them. It is an understatement that she will be deeply missed here on earth, but heaven is surely rejoicing in her arrival.

Above all, Margie loved God with her entire heart. She lived a life of faith by example- was always ready to listen, share wise counsel, and to encourage others to know God as she did.

Margie is survived by her three children, daughter Shelley Edmonds (David) of Birmingham, AL, daughter Margie Butler (Glenn) of Fairhope AL , and her son Brent Beasley (Melia) of Dallas TX, eight grandchildren, Jacob Bump (Lauren) of Houston, TX, Emily Determann (Jason) and Kirby Butler (Michelle) of Fairhope Alabama, Matthew Edmonds (Wesley) and Adam Edmonds (Tim) of Atlanta, GA, Shelby Elizabeth Beasley of New Orleans, LA, Nelson Beasley, Jackson Beasley, and Briana Beasley of Dallas, TX, ten great grandchildren children; Elliot, Judd, Jentry and Jesse Determann of Fairhope, AL, Tyler Bump of Houston, TX, Darby, and twins Whit and Della Butler of Fairhope, AL, Luke and John Thomas Edmonds of Atlanta, GA, and her brother Terry McMillin of Harrisonburg, LA, and many nieces and nephews with whom she was close to.

Margie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Shelby Beasley, who passed away in 2014, her beloved daughter, Charlotte Bump, her oldest grandson, Jeremy Bump, her father and mother, her brothers, Leroy, Charlie, Robbie, and her sisters, Maxine, Irene, and Helen.

Her celebration of a life well lived will be May 9, 2026, at her church of 75+ years, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where the family invites everyone to join them for a visitation at 10:00 am prior to the service at 11:00am. The family would ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 385 La-126, Jonesville, LA 71343.
