Marguerite June "Tommie" Caldwell

CALDWELL DAPHNE, ALABAMA Marguerite June “Tommie” Caldwell, age 97, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Tommie was an island girl, born in Put-In-Bay, Ohio, where she grew up free to roam the island with her siblings and friends. Tommie worked her way through Ohio State, where she met Jack, a naval aviator. They traveled the world together. Tommie was full of energy and curiosity, an expert seamstress, gardener, cook and antiques dealer. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Tommie is survived by her husband, Jack Caldwell; son, Clay Caldwell of Western Springs, Illinois; daughter, Sydney McDaniel (Jim) of Fairhope, Alabama; brother, James Roy Thompson of Athens, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob Caldwell of Phoenix, Arizona, Nicholas Caldwell (Katie) of Carbondale, Illinois, Stacey Wells (Jason) of Daphne, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Zoë Wells, Ward Wells; and many other loving relatives and friends.
