Marjorie Ann (Akre) Tisch (age 92) of Gulf Shores, Alabama, entered the presence of the Lord on May 13, 2025, at the home of her son, Mark, surrounded by her family.

Marge was born on February 15, 1933, to Arthur and Margaret (Robbins) Akre in Veblen, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Attended school in Veblen, SD and was united in marriage with Harry Tisch of Claire City, SD on February 28, 1949. Together they called many places home including Excelsior, MN; Selby, SD and Montevideo, MN. They had five children: Donn, Mark, Candace, Suzan, and Shannon. Later in life she also spent time in Naples, Fl and Prescott, Az.

Marge was a devoted mother and housewife. Later in life she worked in sales at Dillards and Costco. She loved meeting people and true to her upbringing, she lived by the golden rule. She loved her family, going to church, a cup of coffee, talking about South Dakota, traveling, and playing cards. She enjoyed volunteering at the local hospital and at meals on wheels when she was in Prescott.

She moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 13, 2021, where she never met a stranger. She was a beacon of light as she shared the love of Jesus with everyone she met! She loved going to Church at the Shores! May we all strive to follow in Marjorie's footsteps and by living a life of faith. So we too can hear the words of Jesus, Well done, good and faithful servant, as we join her at her heavenly home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

She is survived by two sons: Donn Tisch and his wife Margaret of Big Stone City, SD and Mark Tisch and his wife Debbie of Gulf shores, AL; two daughters: Candace Tisch Rubel and her husband Tom of Sonoma, CA, Suzan Hooper and her husband Robert of Prescott, AZ, and six grandchildren: Jerry Bobby, Tara and Briana Tisch and Brandon and Nitara Hooper; 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother’s Donald and Cecil and sister Betty Agee; her former husband, Harry Tisch; and daughter Shannon Tisch.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
