Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to so many.
She leaves behind her loving husband Rob Gilpin, her twin daughters, Mary Morgan Barrows & Lindsey White; her bonus son, Robert Tyler Gilpin; her brother, Rick Galimore, and her three grandchildren, including Harrison White (5), Mary Michael Barrows (4) and William White (3).
A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama on Wednesday April 30th at 1:00. There will be a private graveyard service.
Pam was born on December 2nd, 1956, and grew up in the small town of Elba, Alabama. Although she had a successful career in banking for many years, her true vocation (and passion) was that of a mother and homemaker. Pam loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling throughout the world and Alabama football. She was a strong Christian believer that loved her Lord & Savior, attended 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama and devoted much of her time to Bible studies and her 3 Circle Church small groups.
Pam was a true warrior when it came to fighting Ovarian Cancer. She tackled the disease head on and continued to fight until the very end even telling Hospice that they were only here to help her get stronger. She endured numerous surgeries, countless chemo treatments, hundreds of doctor’s appointments and ongoing tests. She never complained, never grew angry and never stopped fighting. Pam received incredible care from both the University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Center (MCI) in Mobile, Alabama as well as MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
Pam will always be known as a strong Christian, a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with and has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Pam’s vivacious spirit will live on for generations to come.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Jennifer Scalici & Erin Perniciaro from the Mitchell Cancer Institute for their incredible care and kindness throughout Pam’s six-year fight with Ovarian cancer.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to make donations to the following cancer organizations in her honor:
