Mathilde Alice Jumonville (Mattie), resident of Foley Alabama passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA.
She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Margarets of Scotland Catholic Church. Mathilde's passion for Art and family gatherings with her two grandchildren.
Mathilde shined as queen of the Krewe of Achaeans Carnival Gala of New Orleans, La in 1972. She fully enjoyed the dazzling celebrations. Recently in 2022, she attended the Gala as the 50th year queen. Which brought her great joy, reminiscing about the memories she had created over the decades.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Moreau James Jumoville, Alice Stapleton Jumonville; her brothers, Moreau J. Jumonville Jr. and Raymond Jumonville.
She is survived by her son, Ken S. Zadnichek, Jr. (Carmen); her stepson, Donovan C. Zadnichek, all of Silverhill, Alabama; grandchildren Kaitlyn Zadnichek of Mobile AL and Konrad Zadnichek of Silverhill AL; sisters, Francoise J. Vosbein of Diamondhead, MS. and Suzanne J. Donovan of Fairhope AL; along with nieces and nephews, and devoted, Alumni of Mercy Academy NOLA.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M, followed by a chapel service at 11:00 A.M at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope AL.
Interment will be held at Brook-Cedron Cemetery immediately after the service.
