Meriam Santa Monica Neise

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Meriam Santa Monica Neise of Fairhope, AL, on June 6, 2024, at the age of 77.

Meriam was the owner of Oak Haven Cottages for 42 years. She was the kindest woman with a heart of gold. Over the years, she has made countless lifelong friendships through Oak Haven Cottages.

 Meriam was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Lawrence. She would always spread the work of God in numerous ways to everyone.

 She will be remembered by her husband of 45 years, Rudolph; children, Suzanne (Lee) Mullen, Robert Lond, Nell (James) Portella, and William Long; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; siblings, Leonarda Julian Erbe of Long Beach, CA, Christina Sanat Monica Pico of Simi Valley, CA, Phillip Vasquez of Hilo, HI, Daniel Vasquez of Konu, HI, Dorothy Vasquez Delrio, of Daphne, AL and Camilla Santa Monica Yorong; as well as numerous other family members. 

Meriam was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Mauro Julian, Gloria Julian Knapp, and Michael Gerald Vasquez; and grandson, Henry (Trey) Mullen.

 A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 S. Section St. Fairhope, AL. 36532.
