Michael Daniel Pitts, 59, of the Foley/Gulf Shores community, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Known to many of you as Mike or Daniel, he made St. Petersburg, FL his home for many years. Although he had great friends and people he loved there, he decided in 2020 to move back to Alabama to be closer to his family. No matter which you called him--Mike or Daniel--I am certain you knew him to be quite the character who never met a stranger, was a fantastic storyteller, and would leave you with a laugh and him a smile. He was a Son, a Father, my Brother-our Brother, and a Friend.
Until we meet again - Catch that fish, ride that wave, keep putting pen to paper.....AND FLY, FLY HIGH with those that we all miss so very much. We will miss you but will see you soon.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
