Moses Morrison, Jr.

February 3, 1939 — September 13, 2024

Fairhope

Born on February 3, 1939, in Fairhope, Alabama, Moses lived a life full of love, connection, and simple joys. He dedicated himself to a successful career as an insurance agent, always providing reliability and care to his clients. His dedication extended beyond his work—Moses served faithfully as an Elder of Twin Beech A.M.E. Zion Church, a role that reflected his deep sense of community and service.

In his personal life, Moses found peace and happiness in life’s quiet moments. Whether on his boat enjoying a day of fishing or sitting back to watch a football game, he embraced the simple pleasures that made life richer. Those who knew him will remember his warm laugh and the stories and advice he freely shared, often over a tray of perfectly roasted peanuts while a golf tournament played on the TV.

Moses was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mattie Louise Morrison, the love of his life; his mother, Ethel Bell Law; his sisters, Mary Tate and Syble Savage; his brother, Willie James Law; his niece, Mary Angela Bullard; and his nephews, Jerome Tate, James Bullard III, Demarius Wiley, Paul Keith, and Raynell Keith.

He is survived by his nieces: Emmer Bryant, Willie Pearl Davis, and Tinny Tate, as well as a wide circle of friends, cousins, and extended family members touched by his kindness and generosity.

Although Moses is no longer physically with us, the memories of his grace, humor, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His unwavering love for family and friends, his laughter, and the lessons he shared will remain a guiding light.

A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Twin Beech A.M.E. Zion, 6664 Twin Beech Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532, Saturday, September 21, 2024.

As we come together to honor Moses’s life, let us remember the joy he found in everyday moments and the love he shared with each of us. May we carry forward his legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter.
