Myrline Black Breedin, 92, of Daphne, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026. She was born on May 7, 1934, in Loxley, Alabama to Rufus and Florie Black. She grew up in Loxley alongside her five siblings before making her home in Daphne where she and her husband Robert “Bob” Allen Breedin, Sr. built a life together and raised their family. She remained in the same home in Jackson Oaks in Old Daphne until her death. For more than 50 years, Bob and Myrline owned and operated Breedin Produce serving their community with dedication and hard work. Always the lady and the epitome of grace and elegance, Mrs. Breedin was rarely seen without a warm smile and a polished appearance. Following her retirement from Miller Transporters, she devoted her time to the people she loved the most.
Myrline taught by example, showing her family how to balance hard work, faith, and devotion to those she loved. She demonstrated that it was possible to build a successful career while raising a family, approaching both with strength, grace, and determination. She instilled the values of responsibility, kindness, and good manners, while also sharing the traditions and skills she cherished. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where family and friends gathered around the table to enjoy meals made with love, share stories, and create memories that would become one of her greatest legacies.
Myrline is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Breedin, Sr. and daughter Marilyn Jay Breedin, as well as her parents Rufus and Florie Brantley Black, sisters Ruby Black Davison and Myrtle Black, and brothers Holland Black, Dean Black and Buck Black.
