Myron Rogers of Point Clear, Alabama, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Myron was born on March 14, 1946, in Mobile, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Jeattie Rogers, a sister, Shelba Jean Rogers, and three brothers, Bobby Dale Rogers, Jimmy Roy Rogers and Lloyd Brent Rogers.
Surviving family members include his wife, Catherine Agerton Rogers; Goddaughter Jennifer Parker and Grandchildren Andrew Dowsey (Dallas), Carson Dowsey (Saylah) and Allison Dowsey (Cade Conner) with Great Grandchildren Millie Parker Dowsey and Rilynn Bree Conner; Goddaughter Britten Kopesky Britt and Grandchildren Margaret Britt and Russell Steiner. Myron is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Maples Rogers and Mary Norris Rogers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Myron graduated from Semmes High School in 1964, and the University of Southern Mississippi in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He worked in the construction industry for more than fifty years as a general, commercial and industrial contractor.
A long-term resident of Baldwin County, Myron enjoyed working on his collection of classic cars with his brothers. As an avid sport fisherman, he often participated in deep sea fishing tournaments or social fishing trips with family and friends. Myron was also passionate about hunting, serving for many years as a member, and then later President, of Ravenwood Plantation Hunting Club. Myron's interests weren't limited to land and sea; he also took to the air by becoming a licensed private pilot. For several years, Myron was involved in a local Mardi Gras mystic society and was an active member of the Mobile Big Game Club.
Family and friends are invited to Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope for visitation from 10:00am - 11:00am on Thursday, April 9, 2026. An interment service will follow at Montrose Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Rusty Cowles Scholarship Fund, St. Michael's Catholic High School, 11732 St. Michael's Way Fairhope, AL 36532, or online at the St. Michael's High School website.
