Nancy Read Strachan

Nancy Read Strachan, age 84, a native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away in God’s Grace on Thursday, October 31,2024. 

Nancy attended Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. She was a current member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Grady S. Strachan and her brother Charles E. Read, Jr. 

She is survived by their children, Victoria Strachan of Houston, TX, Leslie (John) Crowley of Mobile, Shirley Anderson of Houston, TX, Paul (LeeAnne) Strickland of Fairhope, Grady “Chip” Strachan, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Nancy Leigh (Peyton) Cox of Spring, TX; Grandchildren, Malcom (Greta) Stockdale of Denver, Colorado, Mary Kathryn Crowley of Mobile, John “Jay” (Leigh) Crowley III of Mobile, Zachary Anderson of Houston, TX, Mason Strickland of Fairhope, Eli Strickland of Fairhope, Peyton Cox III of San Antonio, TX, Madeline Cox of Dallas, TX; great granddaughter, Abbey Anderson of Houston, TX; Brother Sidney (Barbara) Read; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Visitation at 10:00 a.m. on November 23, 2024 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope, AL.
