Pamela Joyce Stafford Hooks, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 77.
She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Yantis Eugene Stafford and Dorothy Cannon Stafford to whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Stafford and Jimmy Stafford.
She was the owner of Pam’s Child Care in Fairhope where she was lovingly known as “Nanny”, where she was a devoted caregiver to countless children who became a part of her family, and we want to thank them all for showing their love and support.
She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Fairhope.
Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was loved not only by her family, but many friends and extended family. She will be missed by them all.
Pam enjoyed countless Saturdays, during football season, with her Sunday School Class Alabama football parties.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Ernie Hooks; daughters, Sonya (Scott) Clemens, all of Fairhope, and Dottie (Jimmy) Davis of Silverhill, Alabama; son, Lee (LeaAnn) Hooks, of Fairhope; sisters, Bobbie (Arthur) Fiala of Silverhill and Sondra (Kyle) Flowers of Alvin, TX.; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; special friends, Kristy Davis and Cooper; and the countless children she cared for throughout the years.
To celebrate her life, a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Fairhope. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m.
