Patricia Ann Pickens Melton

Patricia Ann Pickens Melton, a longtime resident of Vidalia, GA and a current resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2024. She was born in Hartselle, Alabama, daughter of Charles and Sara Pickens.

She was a retired teacher, who taught for 6 years in Holly Springs, MS, 28 years in Vidalia, GA and 6 years in District RESA. Reading and cooking were her passion.

Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Ron Melton of Fairhope; brother, Jim (Laura) Pickens of Birmingham; sister, Jane Reed of Dothan; sister-in-law, Marsha (Randy) Bridges of Chickasaw; brother-in-law, Dennis (Lois) Melton of Mobile nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends of all whom will cherish her memory.

A memorial service to honor Patricia’s life will be held at a later date.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Dream Center at P.O. Box 307, Vidalia, GA. 30475
