On Friday, August 7, 2026, Pat passed away peacefully and quietly with her two sons at her bedside. Pat will reunite with her departed husband and best friend of 62 years, RussNagy.

Pat was born on December 10, 1943, to Pete and Grace Matesia of Heidelberg, Pennsylvania.

Pat married Russ on Valentine’s Day in 1963. They shared their lives through Hawaii, California, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, and Georgia. She and Russ have two sons, Jeffery Russell Nagy and Timothy Gregg Nagy. Jeff married Mary Laurent and have three married adult children (Aimee Dose-husband Adam, Krysta Newton-husband Joe and Zac Nagy-wife Shelley Clair) as well as her two great-grandchildren (Kelly Newton and Noah Nagy). Tim has two adult children (Maximilian Nagy and Kathryn Nagy).

Pat was a proud Navy wife. She traveled to Hawaii and Norfolk, where Russ was stationed. Eventually, Pat and Russ returned to Pittsburgh. Pat was a beautician and then worked several years as a successful real estate agent in the Pittsburgh area.

Pat was talented and creative in many areas. She was a gifted seamstress, stain glass creator, gardener, and a great cook. Every grandchild received a handmade crocheted baby afghan. Holiday dinners were wonderful and plentiful.

Visitation will be held at the Daphne Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 9:30am to 10:30am. Graveside service (11:00 AM) will follow in the Alabama State Veteran’ s Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
