Patrick Constatine Bertagnolli Sr.

Patrick Constatine Bertagnolli, known affectionately as Pat, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Daphne, Alabama, at the age of 80. Born on August 23, 1945, in Battles Wharf, Pat’s life was marked by his deep love for family, nature, and craftsmanship.

A lifelong tile setter, Pat’s expert work can be found throughout Baldwin County, Alabama, and Bullhead, Arizona. His dedication to his craft was unparalleled, and he remained proud throughout his life of the excellence and precision that defined his tile setting. His skill and commitment made a lasting impact on the communities he served.

Beyond his professional achievements, Pat was a man of rich passions and gentle spirit. He loved the outdoors, cherishing time spent kayaking and fishing, activities that connected him deeply with nature. From an early age, he nurtured a passion for wood carving—an art form in which he excelled and delighted others. Frequently, neighbors and visitors would find him sitting peacefully by the bay, whittling intricate carvings, his quiet enthusiasm drawing admirers who appreciated his talent and dedication.

Pat’s love for animals was another defining aspect of his life, one remembered fondly by those close to him. His home was always a refuge to an assortment of creatures—squirrels, raccoons, rabbits, turtles, and even a boa constrictor—each a testament to his gentle heart and his enduring connection with the natural world.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Glenda Harris Bertagnolli; his daughter, Carissa Bertagnolli and her husband Tony; his son, Patrick Constantine Bertagnolli Jr.; and Autumn (Bertagnolli) Newell and her husband Mike. Pat’s legacy also lives on in his cherished grandchildren—Johnathan, Timothy, Machaela, and Aiden—and his great-grandchildren, Camden, Naomi, Charles, Karma, and Trinity.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Henry A. Bertagnolli Sr., and mother, Florence G. Bertagnolli, along with his brothers Jerry, Billy, Donald, Henry Jr., Tommy, and Tony.

A memorial service to honor Pat’s life will be held on May 9, 2026, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Alabama, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

Patrick Constatine Bertagnolli will be remembered as a devoted family man, a gifted craftsman, and a kind soul who found joy in nature and shared it with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
