Peggy Virginia Story Tousley

Peggy Story Tousley, age 79, a resident of Orange Beach, Alabama, passed away Friday November 7, 2025. Visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:00 PM with memorial services immediately following visitation at Robertsdale Church of Christ in Robertsdale AL. Family is requesting that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital in her honor, at www.stjude.org.

Peggy retired from Johnson, Slaughter, Driver & Northcutt as a receptionist in 2008. She spent her remaining years enjoying time with her husband of 49 years, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. She dedicated a lot of here time to the amazing cancer treatments and hardships associated with her granddaughter’s cancer treatments conducted at St. Jude children's Research hospital in Memphis TN.

Peggy was born on October 7, 1946, at Lee County hospital in Opelika Al. to Valdosta and Virginia Story. Peggy is survived by her husband Claurel (Pete) Tousley, Brother Stan Story (Cindy), Stepdaughter Diane Tousley, sons Shane Lamar, Brian Lamar (Angel) and stepson Mathew Tousley (Dawn), grandchildren, Patrick Tousley, Haley Gray (Eric), Nathan Bearden (Casey), Colton Lamar (Madison), Joseph Lamar, Kayla Lamar. Great grandchildren, Kenley, Layla, Bennett, Charleigh-Rae, Rhett, Hunter, Jocelyn, Sadie Jane.

Peggy was preceded in death by her brother Mickey Story and sister Reneau Story Nicholas.
