Ramona Pendle, age 88, passed away peacefully in Fairhope, Alabama, on April 26, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, Ramona carried the spirit and beauty of the coast with her throughout her life. She found great joy in the beach—the rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the peace it brought her soul.
Ramona was known for her vibrant personality, her love of gatherings, and her ability to bring people together. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate life, and her presence filled every room with laughter, warmth, and joy. Above all, she cherished time with her family, who were the center of her world.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Ramona lived her life grounded in love, grace, and devotion. Her faith guided her through both joyful seasons and times of loss, and it was a source of strength and comfort to her and those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Pendle, and her children, Pam Lawrence and Bryan Pendle, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Pendle; her grandchildren, Rachel Mullen, Melissa Malcom, Madison Mancil, Jackson Pendle, and Cole Pendle; and her great-grandchildren, Avery Lawrence, Rhett Malcom, and Lucy Malcom. Her legacy lives on through each of them, in the love she gave and the memories they will forever hold close.
Ramona’s life was a testament to faith, family, and celebration. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on April 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.
