Randy Elaine Hale Kelly, age 76, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025. She had suffered a stroke two weeks prior and was unable to regain her vibrant quality of life.
Randy was born in Birmingham, AL to Edgar and Ruth Ann Hale on October 19, 1948, and spent the majority of her life there. She was welcomed into the world by her big sister and best friend DeeDee and later joined by a brother Eddie. Randy attended Ramsay and West End High Schools, where she made a multitude of lifelong friends. One of her favorite things was to talk about her high school memories and the people she grew up with. Randy married Larry Nobles of West End in 1966. She would have two more marriages, but one would venture to say, the first was the best, as they remained friends to the end.
Soon after her retirement, Randy moved to Fairhope to be near her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful employee at Brookwood Medical Center for more than 30 years, where she worked her way up from hostess to receptionist in the Cancer Center, to nursing staffer in the Staffing Department, and an administrative secretary in the Sleep Lab. She loved her job and working with the public and made many close friends while there. Once in Baldwin County, she quickly became involved in animal welfare, volunteering first with The Haven, then with BARC, serving on the board for each. She was often seen at fundraising events such as the Mystic Mutts of Revelry annual Mardi Gras parade, the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival, Hound Dog Music Fest! Uptail Resale shop, Fairhope Witches Ride, and served on the organization committee which secured funding from Impact 100 to provide free and low cost spay and neuter through BARC. Her passionate advocacy for the well-being of all animals will be sorely missed. Additionally, Randy enjoyed being part of the local SELF group (Service, Education, Leadership & Fellowship), which emphasizes giving back to the community. She looked forward to the monthly gatherings with her “lunch ladies”.
Randy is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Randolph Hale and Ruth Ann Jordan Hale; and her brother, Eddie Hale.
She is survived by her sister, DeeDee Hogan of Birmingham, AL; daughter Yonna and son-in-law Ed Fogle of Fairhope, AL; son, Jeff Nobles and fiancé Ashley Morris of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, Alex (Elizabeth) Fogle of Foley, AL; Zoie (Cam) Ulmer of Advance, NC; Allie Nobles of Daphne, AL; Gann Nobles of Fairhope, AL; great grands, Hudson Fogle, Emma Rose Ulmer, & Magnolia Jane Ulmer (due August 2025), along with many loving relatives and friends. Randy also leaves behind four spoiled rotten cats and two equally spoiled dogs.
A memorial service will be held on the bluff in Fairhope, Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. Please join us as we celebrate her life. Casual, comfortable dress is preferred. She will rest eternally at the Colony Cemetery, Fairhope, AL columbarium and would enjoy visitors at any time.
To honor Randy’s memory, donations can be made to Baldwin Humane Society at their website www.baldwinhumane.org
