Richard "Dick" Charles Bensman

Richard “Dick” Bensman May 26, 1934 – June 23, 2022 Richard “Dick” Charles Bensman passed away on June 23, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born to parents Clarence and Isabell Bensman in Grand Island, NY. He is survived by wife Pauline Bensman, daughters Barbara Thomson (Robert), Cathy Rogers, and Judy Dunnam (Raymond), five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dick was proud to have served as a naval aviator (1956-59) and was an active member of the Ancient Aviators group based in Gulf Shores, AL. He retired, with Pauline, to Fairhope, AL after having owned and operated a manufacturers’ representative company in Bristol Harbor, NY. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held Sunday, July 24 2022, 2:30 PM at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL. The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Steelwood Chapel, 33045 Water View Drive, West Loxley, AL 36551.
