Ricky Vail

Ricky Vail, age 64, of Bon Secour, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 27, 2026. Born in Foley, Ricky was known for his larger-than-life personality, kind heart, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.

Ricky never met a stranger. He was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, always carried a smile, and would do absolutely anything for the people he loved. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His family meant everything to him, and he loved them fiercely and wholeheartedly. The memories he created with those closest to him will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Janet Mikkelsen; his children and their spouses, April and Brian LaCoste, Erick and Erica Vail, and Ariel and Jared Bumpers; his beloved grandchildren, Brayden Biebricher, Brianna LaCoste, Aleeya Vail, Addisyn K. LaCoste, and Baylee Vail; step-children and grandchildren, Hannah, Adam, and Margot Chandler, Catherine, Jacob, Hunter , and Laine Lochrico; Carter Rea , Grace Rea and the mother of his children, Janice K. Styron. Siblings and their spouses Tommy and Elayna Vail, Debbie and Mike Salter, and Randall and Bridgette Vail.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Janice Vail. As well as his niece Michaela Salter.

Ricky’s warmth, laughter, generosity, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Services will be held Saturday June 6, 2026 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL
