Ricky Joe "R.J." Rumfelt

Mr. Ricky Joe Rumfelt a resident of Gulf Shores, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 71.

He was an avid guitar player and an avid Atlanta Braves fan, Carolina Tarheel fan, and musician.  Ricky was in the Army over five years.  He loved singing and was a loving father and grandfather.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Ronnie Rumfelt and Margaret Dorsey; sister, Pam Newman and son-in-law, Adam Herring.

He is survived by his wife Tena Rumfelt of Gulf Shores; three beautiful daughters, Mandie Forgea (Keith Larson) of Foley, Casey (Chris) Cook of Mt. Airy, GA, Destiny Herring of Gulf Shores; four grandchildren, Josie Rumfelt, Phoebe Forgea, Carson Cook and Camden Cook; two great great grandchildren, Isla Rumfelt and Piper Craig; brother-in-law Ray Newman; nephews, Brad and Matt Williams; cousins, “brother” Randy and Lib Rumfelt and their sons, Wes and Will Rumfelt; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL, in the Parlor on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
