Robert W. Burnett, affectionately known as Bob, was born on March 30, 1934, and passed away peacefully at his home in Spanish Fort on September 27, 2025. He was a beloved figure whose impact on those around him will be cherished and remembered for years to come.

Bob dedicated a portion of his life to serving his country as a proud Marine. His commitment to duty and service exemplified his character, and he carried the values he learned in the military throughout his life. After his service, he transitioned into a successful career at State Farm, where he held a leadership position for many years, contributing to his community and supporting his colleagues.

Bob was a family man at heart. He is survived by three loving children: Georgia Pritchett, Virginia Watson, and Yancey Burnett, who, along with his wife, Lucretia "Lucy," have fostered a legacy of love and togetherness. He was blessed with seven grandchildren—Rachel Pritchett, Lindsey Pritchett and her fiancé David Coffelt, and Bella Burnett, along with Molly Steinfath and her husband Stephen, Alannah Watson, Shelby Watson, and Olivia Watson—each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life. The beauty of generational bonds was evident in Bob's life, as he also welcomed two great-grandchildren into his heart, Cooper Alan and Owen Wyatt.

Bob’s passion for travel was well-known, particularly his adventures with his beloved wife, Nancy C. Burnett, who preceded him in death. Their time spent exploring the world together became a testament to their deep love and devotion. Bob found great joy in the company of people, a quality that allowed him to forge lasting connections with friends and family alike.

His warm spirit and approachable nature will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we remember Robert W. Burnett, we celebrate a life rich in service, love, and laughter, surrounded by the family and friends he cherished deeply.
