Robert “Butch” Gaines Mason, Jr., age 77, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from the Alabama State Docks, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Denny Mason of Fairhope; son, William Shane Mason (Connie) of Fairhope; grandchildren, Elizabeth Catherine, William Jared and Christopher Thomas; sister, Julie DeMaria (Vic) of Magnolia, TX; brother, Mitchell Lynn Mason of TN; many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Butch’s Life will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
