Robert Leon Whitley

Robert Leon Whitley, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 86.

He was a National Sales Manager for many years. Robert was an avid golfer and was always excited about his hole-in-one. He loved water skiing, fishing, traveling and gardening.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulie and Estelle Whitley and five brothers, James, Uzell, Melvin, Billy and Donald.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Sandra Whitley; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Bates, and Robin (Paul) Schwartz, all of Fairhope; grandchildren, Erin (John) Bates Csubak, James C. (Abby Grace) Bates, III, Ellen Schwartz, Jordan Schwartz, and Jason Schwartz; great grandchildren, Zoe Kate Csubak, Ethan Csubak, Jack Csubak, Shepherd Bates and Louise Bates; many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 1:00 until time of service.

Flowers are welcome; however, you may send donations, in Robert’s memory, to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
