Robert Glynn "Mutt" Willett
We say farewell to a beloved Husband, Brother, Father, and Paw Paw.
Robert Glynn “Mutt” Willett, 74, of Summerdale, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2025. Born on March 7, 1951, in La Plata, Maryland, Glynn lived a life marked by humor, resilience, and deep devotion to those he held dear.
Known affectionately as “Mutt,” Glynn was a man of strong character and unforgettable presence. He was loving and caring to those around him, always ready with a joke or a witty remark. His stubborn streak and know-it-all nature were well-known among family and friends—traits that often sparked laughter and lively conversation.
Glynn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved gambling and could often be found enjoying the thrill of a good wager. Watching sporting events with his family was another favorite pastime—those shared moments filled with cheers, debates, and camaraderie created lasting memories for all who joined him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Willett; his son, Robert Willett; his daughter-in-law, Ashley Willett; his sisters Connie Willett-Wright and Debbie Willett-Johnson; and his cherished grandchildren Laylah and Leland Willett. Each of them carries forward the warmth of his love and the echoes of his laughter.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eunice Willett; his sister Joyce Willett; and his brother Michael Willett.
Plans have not yet been made for a celebration of life, we will be in contact with family and friends.
May the memory of Robert Glynn “Mutt” Willett bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire smiles through stories shared for years to come.
