Rosa Marie Bangle Janssen

Rosa Marie (Bangle) Janssen died peacefully at home in Foley, AL. on May 13, 2026. She was 88.

She was born in October, 1937 in Mobile AL.

Girl Scout Leader, from Brownies thru Senior. Manager of several fabric stores, also as Extension Master Gardner, was very active in the Quilting Community. Also very active in her church, leading a group in making quilts for Lutheran World Relief, working with the Church’s food pantry. Rosa was active in Women of the Church on local and regional basis, In her spare time you could find her hand quilting, sewing and many different crafts, loving to travel, with living in 6 different states and going on many cruises. Traveling with friends, with Rosa and Earl’s Motor Home.

Survived by her husband of 70 years Earl, her children Earl Jr (Lori), Cynthia (Dan), and Jon. Grandchildren, Megan (Pete), Kirstin (Josh), Tiffany (Greg), and Jessica (Ian). Seven Great Grandchildren and two sisters, Alfreda (Little Bit), Dottie Ann. She was preceded in death by her Father Alfred, Mother Alfreda, Sister Shirley Ruth, Brothers Carl Jr (Buck), and George Albert (Knocker).

Services will be held Saturday May 23rd 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church 491 West 23 Ave Gulf Shores; AL. Visitation will be at 1 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM with a luncheon following the service.
