Roy Wendell Batts

Roy Batts, a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 85.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Roy Batts and Vera Alene Batts, wives, Georgia Batts and Linda Batts, brothers, Ronnie Batts and Billy Batts. 

Roy is survived by daughters, Olympia Parks (Dave), Tanya Hendrickson (Ben) and Wendy Batts (Tony); six grandchildren; two sisters, Myra Evans and Bonnie Ward. 

He was a graduate of Cheatham County High School in Ashland City, TN and attended UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. He worked in banking and finance for 42 years and retired from Bankcorp South Bank in 2005. He liked all sports, but his favorites were golf and baseball. 

There will be a celebration of life at a later date with the time and place to be determined by the family.
