In Loving Memory of Sandra K. Hayes

Sandra K. Hayes, lovingly known as Goochum, age 71, of Foley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Goochum was a loving and caring soul who brought warmth and kindness to those around her. She loved motorcycle rides with her husband, Gary, and had a special love for butterflies and Dolly Parton. Her gentle spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hayes; her parents, Ray and Clara Davis; her granddaughter, Haley Chisholm; her brother, Ray Lonnie Davis; her sister, Rebecca Davis; and her aunt, Nancy Strader.

She is survived by her daughters, Tara (Tracy) Whiteside and Melody Hayes; grandsons, Michael and Ty Whiteside; sisters, Linda Frith, Jenny (Donald) Frith, Sindi (Mike) Baugh, and D’att (Bo) Davis; brothers, John (Penny) Wood, and Danny (Jo) Davis; her beloved dogs, Bella and Gabby; and many loving relatives and friends.

Goochum leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in Heaven.

As Dolly Parton once said:

“I hope that when my time comes, I leave something behind that others can use to lift themselves up.”

Goochum’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
