Sara Duren, age 79, a resident of Foley, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026.

Sara was a loving wife, mother, & friend to many. She loved to cook, spend time with friends & family, serve at church & worship at her church. She was a member for the last 3 years of Canal Road Baptist Church in Orange Beach Alabama. Prior to that she was a long time, faithful member of Oyster Bay Baptist Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond.

She is survived by her children, Sammy Hayes, Chris (Donna) Hayes; bonus children, Troy and Amy Kelsey; brother Bill Carter (Susan); numerous grandchildren & great grand children; many other loving relatives & friends, & of course her pup, Gracie.

A Celebration of Sara’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Canal Road Baptist Church, Orange Beach Alabama.

In lieu of flowers gifts may be given in memory of Sara to Canal Road Baptist Church or in honor of Sara to your favorite charity.
