Sara Nicole Parker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Capt. Sara Parker (Griffin) 7/27/2026. Born on the 31st of January 1984 she grew up in Pensacola and went on to graduate from Woodham High School. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend to everyone she touched. To know her was to love her. She loved hard and fought harder. Her infectious smile brought joy to all who were blessed enough to get to see it.

In the fishing industry she blazed a path that few can compare to. Starting at a very young age she took on the tasks that set forth for her with true passion and determination to constantly be improving. She was a deckhand for many years before going on to get her captain's liscense, and become the legend she will come be known as today. As a female Captain she was an inspiration to many in the industry. She loved fishing, and most everything to do with nature. Her true passion was the water. Either being on it or being in it she always wanted to be close to it, and if she was away from it she would say her scales were drying out(Her inner mermaid).

In these times of loss it's difficult to see the blessing but there are things to be happy about. She was a truly a light that would shine bright when you were in her presence as if everything else around slightly dimmed and the focus would be on her. She touched so many lives. If you were lucky enough to to have her in your presence than most of these words you already know. She was kind, understanding, and always willing to help those in need even in times they didn't ask for it or know that they needed it. While she will be an overwhelmingly missed the heavens have gained a great angel.

Sara is survived by her husband Mitch parker, her son Rowan Rodgers, her parents Ronnie and Denise Girffin, her sister Carlee (Jason) Grindle, nephews Cooper Grindle and Cooper Parker. Also her fur babies Buck and Curby.
