Sarah Lenoir White, age 94, died peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on January 11, 1930 in Jemison, Alabama to Thomas Leonard and Electa Childress Lenoir.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) White and her grandson James (Jimmy) Kubina.
She is survived by one son, Gene White of Bay Minette, Alabama and two daughters, Sue Kubina (Jimmy) of Spanish Fort, Alabama, and Lee White of Mesa, Arizona. She has two grandsons, Scott Kubina and Ramin Mahmoodi, and five grandchildren, Eliza and Declan Kubina, and Paris, Zand, and Suri Mahmoodi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.
Following cremation there will be a private ceremony to scatter her ashes.
She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of any flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. Thank you to all those who have supported us with their prayers and to the wonderful people at The Huntington who have cared for her for the last eight years, and the nurses and staff at Thomas Hospital who made her last days comfortable.
