Steven Andrew “Andy” Luckie, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 20, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama, at the age of 67.   Born in Mobile, Andy dedicated over 35 years to the construction industry as a respected residential and commercial contractor. His career, anchored in his education—a Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations—was marked by not only his skillful craftsmanship but also his unwavering commitment to helping others. He cherished every opportunity to assist with special construction projects at churches and schools, embodying a true spirit of service.

Andy’s warmth extended beyond his professional life. He was a family man at heart, married to his beloved wife, Poenta Chavers Luckie. Together, they raised a wonderful family that brought him immense joy. He is survived by his son Cory Andrew Luckie and daughter-in-law Brittany, who provided him with the greatest blessing of all—his grandsons, Crosby Andrew Luckie and Chandler Graham Luckie. Andy took great pride in being present for their lives, often seen cheering from the sidelines during sport practices and games, where his spirit shone brightly among family and friends.

The love for his family was matched only by his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Memories of Andy will forever include his laughter during those sunny days spent boating and inshore fishing, especially during treasured moments at their second home in Perdido Beach, Alabama. It was in these serene surroundings that he found his “Happy Place,” a reminder of the beauty in God’s creation that he so loved to explore through travel.

In addition to his immediate family, Andy is mourned by his brother Clayton “Alan” Luckie and sister-in-law Kerry, his stepmother Ella Luckie, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Albert C. Luckie, mother Virginia Ann Luckie, and sister LeighAnn Luckie Chason, whose memories he carried in his heart.

Andy faced the last chapter of his life with quiet strength, having begun a series of strokes on October 10th. Despite his struggles, he remained surrounded by love and compassion. He departed this world peacefully, going home to be with Jesus around 3:00 pm on November 20th, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.

The memory of Steven Andrew “Andy” Luckie will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A visitation and funeral service will be held on November 25, 2025, at 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
