Thomas Alpha Solley, known affectionately as Tom, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, just days shy of his 67th birthday. Born on November 15, 1958, Tom was a cherished figure in his community and a dedicated family man whose warmth and generosity touched many lives.

Tom embarked on his professional journey with determination and commitment, working at Chavis Furniture for the last 15 years. His dedication to his career was paralleled by the love he poured into his family. A graduate of Fairhope High, he furthered his education at the University of South Alabama, laying a foundation that would serve him well in both personal and professional endeavors.

Tom was a loving husband to his wife, Patricia Solley, and an exceptional father and stepfather. He worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone around him felt included and valued, whether through work or family projects. Tom had a gift for introducing new adventures into their lives, making Patricia feel cherished and special. During the holidays, he particularly enjoyed spending quality time with extended family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

An avid collector, Tom loved acquiring first edition signed books and adorned his home with paintings from his favorite artists, reflecting his creative spirit and passion for the arts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his son, Daniel; two daughters, Linda Hurd and Amanda Wilson; and stepsons David Deyton, Adam Deyton, and Matthew Deyton, along with stepdaughter Olivia Carlson. Tom is also survived by his brother Frank Solley and sister-in-law Andrea Solley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom will remember him fondly.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Solley, and his father, Alpha Solley, whose legacies of love and hard work live on in Tom's family.

In memory of Tom, services will be held at a later date, details of which will be shared with family and friends. His spirit will undoubtedly continue to shine brightly through the lives he has touched, and he will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
