Travis Reed

Travis Earl Reed, age 86, a resident of Foley, AL, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 1, 2022. Travis joined the post office as a clerk in November 1956 at the Oklahoma City Post Office where he spent most of his career. He retired in 1992 as the Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Mobile, AL. Travis attended Oklahoma City University majoring in business management. Travis was a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1957 to 1959. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Chris Wiersig and Trevor Bennett and his brother Hardy Reed. He is survived by his wife, Jean Reed, Daphne, AL; daughter, Teri (Jerry) Wiersig, Foley, AL; son, Michael (Pam) Reed; Fairhope, AL; brother, Eugene Reed, Oklahoma City, OK; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Travis’ Life will be held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Wolfe- Bayview Funeral Home Chapel, Foley, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
