Vera M. Culver

Vera M. Culver, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away at her home, Monday, March 27, 2023, at the age of 94. Vera was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer for the City of Fairhope voting polls from 1956 – 2019. She also was a volunteer “Pink Lady” at Thomas Hospital for many years. She retired from Chevron where she worked from 1956-1992. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bohumila Marik; her husband, Robert V. Culver; her brother, Theodore Marik and her sister, Alice Rost. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Smart and her husband, Leonard, of Fairhope; grandchildren, Kimberly Frank (Don) of Elberta and David Smart of Fairhope; great grandchildren, Brandon Frank (Emily) and Katarina Frank Lipscomb (Carter), Wyatt Frank, Brady Smart and Regan Smart, and their mother, Jenna; great, great grandsons, Weston and Denver Frank; nephew, Michael Rost; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, at 10:00am at Silverhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/donate.
