Virginia LaCiura Decossas who was born August 2, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on September 2, 2024 in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Peter LaCiura and Lena Lamonte LaCiura; four sisters: Theresa LaCiura Revolta, Jeanette LaCiura Leblanc, Josephine LaCiura Kelly, and Gertrude LaCiura Dubroc and one brother: Salvador LaCiura.
She is survived by her husband, Rene’ Decossas, three children: Ginger Decossas, Jill Decossas Tomberlin (Robert) and Eric Decossas (Pam): six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia and Rene’ were married at St. Vincent DePaul Church in New Orleans on June 13, 1959, and have resided in Alabama for the past 20 years. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in memory of Mrs. Decossas be made to your favorite charity.
Cremation arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview with interment in Jubilee Memorial Gardens in Daphne, Alabama.
