Walter "Ken" Kenneth Mason

Walter “Ken” Kenneth Mason, age 78, a resident of Loxley, AL, died on Monday, February 13, 2023. Ken was a Vietnam Veteran; he completed a one-year tour of duty during the war in 1967-8. He was in the 518 Signal Corps. He retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education, where he performed as primary Supervisor of all new and old school construction. He traveled extensively with his mother Ms. Sarah Mason, his daughter Kim Mason, 1st wife, Barbara Mason, and his current wife Vicki Mason, and other family members. They toured Hawaii several times also Mexico and many vacation sites in the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, Titus Roland “Jimmy” Mason and Sarah Wells Mason; the mother of his children, Barbara Krickel Mason, a grandson, Brentson Anthony Davis and a granddaughter, Lydia Grace Peace. His survivors include his wife, Verla Peace Mason of Loxley; daughters, Kim Mason of Fairhope, Lisa Sams of Dawsonville, GA, and Hailey Boggus (Scott) also of Dawsonville, GA; son, Fred Peace of Robertsdale, AL; brother, Larkin Mason (Robin) of Fairhope; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
