Walter Marvin Merrell, Jr.

Walter Marvin Merrell Jr, age 75, a resident of Daphne Alabama died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Marvin Merrell and mother Elizabeth Waters Merrell. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Clark Merrell of 37 years; sons, Walter Marvin Merrell III (Hannah) of Andalusia, Steven David Phillips (HanMi) of Vestavia Hills, sister; Dianne Norwood of Moulton, Al, grandchildren; Bay Merrell, Cape Merrell, Banks Merrell, William Phillips, and Zachary Phillips; many other loving relatives and friends. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope, Al where he served as usher. Before retiring, he was a self-employed home builder. Prior to that, he was Finance Manager at Joe Bullard Automotive in Mobile, Al. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 1:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope, with a reception to follow.
