William “Bill” Edward Martiniere, a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the age of 84.
He made a career of being a peace officer in Baldwin County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Annie Martiniere and his first wife, Delores; brother, Tommy Martiniere and sister, Ann Lancaster.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Martiniere; children, Bill (Laura) Martiniere, Jr,
Becky ( Sammy), Bishop, Scott (Stacey) Martiniere , Sonja (Lee ) Butler, Mary Jo Crabtree, Tommy (Domia) Holley, Tanner (Amanda) Martiniere and Tony Scott ; grandchildren, Hunter, Tucker, Savannah, Lilly, MaKenzie, Paul, Kristen, Alyssa, Josh, Colt, and Emma; great grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, George, Jubilee, Maggie, Rylan, Asher, Ransom, Kylie, Kinleigh, Emmy, and Ensley; one sister and many beloved nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. at Brook-Cedron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Martiniere, Tucker Martiniere, Tanner Martiniere, Alan Lancaster, Kevin Martiniere, Tommy Martiniere, Paul Crabtree and Daniel Ready; honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Brown, Jack Matter, Barry McKee, Bob Cheatham, Rhoane Lawler and Jimmy Copeland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Bill’s memory, may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
