Obituary

William Starnes King passed away on October 8th, 2026 at 5:20 in the evening at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. He was the father of four loving children, Kelsey, Tyler, Victoria, and Presley.

Born in Memphis Tennessee, he was the son of Frank King and Mary Starnes Maury and brother to Frank King Jr., Richard King and Kathy King. Starnes graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Memphis Tennessee, and attended Mississippi State University. Starnes spent most of his life in Destin Florida, and recently made the move to Orange Beach, Alabama.

Starnes had a deep love for fishing, boating, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family. He will be remembered for his full of life personality and always wanting to have a good time.

Starnes is survived by his four children Kelsey King, Tyler King, Victoria King, and Presley King. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard King, parents and grandparents.

Starnes had many close friends, two of which he is reuniting with in Heaven, Bob and Meredith Brown. Many of his close friends were able to spend some of Starnes' last days on Earth with him, before he made the transition to Heaven. He was loved deeply by so many and loved each of these people back so much. The family wants to thank, Sheila Barrett, for being a great friend to Starnes and becoming his care taker at the end of his life.

Arrangements for a celebration of life are being arranged. Once arrangements have been made, the family will make an announcement.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider making a donation to Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport Florida, if desired.

Starnes will be greatly missed. He loved life so much he had the honor to continue loving life through tissue donation. He will forever be remembered by all of those who had the privilege to know and love him. His family and friends mourn the loss of their dad, brother, and friend.
