William Hershel Mixon

February 28, 1935 — February 2, 2022

William Hershel Mixon, age 86, a resident of Daphne, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

William proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was well known in the Mobile Mardi Gras Association for leading the Bill Mixon Orchestra.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Nordmann Mixon.

He is survived by his son, Ervin “Buster” (Melissa L.) Nordmann of Mobile, Alabama; daughter, Deborah Nordmann Robbins of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Lee, Sara, Emily, and Zack; six great grandchildren, Skip, Farrah, Wynn, Gabby, Samantha, and Brandon; his fur baby, Taco; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Alabama, on Wednesday, February 9th from 1:00 pm until 2:00pm. Graveside services to follow at 2:30 at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
