(Corky) Robinson, III, and beloved uncle and godfather Msgr Anthony J. McDevitt. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Grisham Robinson, Maggie’s mom, Pat Keith, brother Richard (Margie), sisters Peggy (Michael) and Mary Anne (Patrick), sons Will and Stephen, brother-in-law Ralph Grisham (Patricia), and much-loved nephews and nieces. He was a graduate of Birmingham Southern College and The University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned many honors, including Order of the Coif and Managing Editor of The Alabama Law Review. He was a veteran of 6 years in the U. S. Air Force. He began working as a clerk at Cabaniss, Johnston and Clark while he was still in law school and worked there for over 30 years as a civil litigator in state and federal courts around the country, and served for a number of years as Managing Partner. He recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of his admission to the Alabama State Bar. Beginning in 2003, he also taught Civics to middle schoolers at Christ the King Catholic School in Daphne. He loved teaching these students even more than he enjoyed trying lawsuits.

He also ministered to the homebound and hospitalized, and residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Before he was ordained a Deacon, he gave generously of his time to help form Archangel Radio and Mary’s Shelter, and acted as Parish Chair and Deanery Chair for Catholic Charities Appeal. At the time of his death, he was a member of The Shrine of the Holy Cross parish in Daphne.
Visitation will be at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne on Wednesday, August 27, from 5-7 pm; Funeral Mass at The Shrine of the Holy Cross, Thursday, August 28, at 10 am.
