William Kenneth Sykes, II

Mr. William K “Kenny” Sykes II, age 66, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home in Fairhope, AL. He was a native of Jackson, AL. His family lived in the Antioch Community, where they ran a convenience store for many years, until he moved to Orange Beach, AL, where he ran a construction business. He then spent many years living in Key West, FL, where he worked his way up to lead mechanic for the City of Key West. When he returned to Alabama, he spent his remaining years in Baldwin County. Over his years, Kenny built a reputation for being a kind and gentle soul. He enjoyed gardening and being in the outdoors. He loved boating and spending time with his best friend, his black lab, Tipsea.

Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Annette Sykes, and his parents, William “Bill” & Robbie Ann Sykes.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Sykes (Katrina) Pearce, and his sisters, Vicki Sykes (John) Mixon and Susan Sykes Drury, and his nephew Jason (Crystal) Conerly, and niece Jamie (Jason) Thornton, and his stepchildren Nathan (Ali) Thomas and Jesika (Shawn) Cate, and his close friend Robert “Robbie” (Kelly) Randall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Baldwin Humane Society.
