Winifred Rhodey Edgeworth

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Winifred Rhodey Edgeworth, who departed this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the remarkable age of 91, from her home in Daphne, Alabama.

Winifred lived a full and cherished life, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Therman Edgeworth, her dear daughter, Sheila Nicholson, and her cherished granddaughter, Holly Woodall.

Her memory will be forever treasured by her loving children: Mike Edgeworth of Daphne, Donna Randall of Spanish Fort, Peggy DuBose of Daphne, and Jim Nicholson of Daphne. She also leaves behind a multitude of devoted grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward: Diane Lee, Jennifer (Zak) Huntington, Michelle (Jody) Jaye, Lee (Erin) Edgeworth, Patricia (Lance) Colby, David Edgeworth, Justin Du Bose, and Devin Edgeworth.

“Winnie” is survived by a profound legacy, including fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Among those who will cherish their memory are her nieces Karen Allen, Nancy McCourry, and nephew Danny Rhodey, and a wide circle of beloved extended family members.

Winifred's presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A period of visitation, offering family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects, will be held one hour prior to the main service. This gathering will take place at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, located in Fairhope, AL, on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Following the visitation, a graveside service will be conducted at 10:00am. This ceremony is planned to take place at the tranquil Memory Gardens of Fairhope, AL.
